General Rules
: Player Expectations :

This established set of rules are not subject for debate. While the Combat Rules are regularly being updated for balance purposes, and the addition of new weapons, items and classes, these rules are non-negotiable under normal circumstance.

::: CAUTION :::

If you have made it this far and have not read the MATURE CONTENT WARNING, STOP.

Click the button above and read it.  DO NOT go passed this point without reading it.

And When you have read it, read it again.  Make sure you completely understand the words written in it, before continuing.

  1. Follow the Second Life ToS and the Community Standards at ALL TIMES.

    1. TOS Violations are BANNABLE OFENSES. Not just by us, but by Linden Labs as well. If you are found to have violated any part of the Second Life Terms of Service, you will be ejected from the sim and have an abuse report filed against you. The most common TOS violations are listed in Section 4 of the Second Life Terms and Conditions of Service: COMMUNITY STANDARDS.

    2. This is NOT infringing on a person's freedom of speech, and arguing with the staff of the sim will NOT change it.  When you create an account in Second Life, you (should have) agreed to abide by Linden Labs Terms of Service. If you have a disagreement with the TOS, take it up with Linden Labs.

    3. If you need a refresher on what you agreed to when you signed up, refer to SECOND LIFE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

    4. Any violation of these two documents will result in a PERMANENT BAN.  Consider yourselves warned.

  2. Read the Mature Content Warning!

    1. There is a REASON we keep emphasizing this.  If you haven't read it, read it and read it again..

    2. You are entering an adult Roleplay environment.  This means that you are required by LAW to be at least 18 years of age or older (21 in some states) to play in this game.

    3. The scenarios you may be exposed to can and will be dark, even more so than the real life scenarios you may be exposed to once in a blue moon in your life, or what you watch on movies.  These scenarios include but are not limited to:  graphic violence, adult language, nudity, rape, drug use, adult content, strong and graphic sexual content, emotional/psychological/physical torture and abuse... and so forth.

    4. Though the sim may engage in storytelling of a darker nature we DO NOT in ANY WAY condone or support this behavior in our players.  You are PLAYING A CHARACTER... ACTING out a role.  The characters should in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM reflect who you are beyond the screen.

    5. Anyone found to be taking such dark themes in an Out-of-Character manner to abuse players, WILL be removed and reported.  False accusations of the same are punishable just the same way.  This is a Perma-Bannable offense so be adults and RESPECT your fellow players' limits.

    6. This is a GAME about monsters.  Do NOT use this as an excuse to BE one.

  3. The Default Combat system is the GPHUD. (Attaches when you land)

    1. Players may opt to FFC (Free-form Combat) if ALL PARTIES AGREE to it.

    2. However, in doing so, you will also forfeit any obligated Staff support if any issues arise.  The staff are here to ensure that the roleplay opportunities continue to be available for players and ensure the quality of life is maintained.

    3. Staff will -not- play lawyer to players who just cannot decide who won and lost the fight.  You will be told to use the Default system, and said staff member will moderate the encounter.

    4. Should you refuse to comply with the staff instructions, you will be instructed to end the encounter or void the roleplay.  You are adults playing an adult game.  Expect to be treated as such.

  4. Metered systems, weapons or other affects are NOT allowed.

    1. You will be asked to remove the meter ONE TIME by staff if caught wearing it. â€‹

    2. When you get here, take them off. Failure to comply will result in ejection from the sim.
    3. The excuse of using it for its RP titler will NOT be accepted, as the Default Sim HUD has both titler and chatter built into it.  There is NO REASON to use any meter system on this sim.

    4. This includes but is not limited to CCS, DCS, Spellfire, Unity, Gorean Meters. They are NOT ALLOWED at ANY point on sim.

    5. Weapons to be used for visual effects are fine, but scripted health bars and such are not.

  5. Metered Magic HUDs for visual effects are not allowed either.

    1. It doesn’t matter who made it, what it's for, or which combat meter it is compatible with. Don’t use them here.

    2. This does not include attachments to the Avatar that has scripted effects.. we speak specifically of combat magic Huds which rezz prims and effects.

    3. It is confirmed that a number of people playing in Second Life suffer from photosensitivity, and while we will NOT pry into a person's medical history, we also will NOT take the chance of triggering a medical emergency.  If you are caught using any of these, you will be asked ONCE to cease.

    4. Failure to comply will result in a Ban.

  6. METAGAMING, POWERGAMING, GODMODING.

    1. Metagaming = Using knowledge you acquired OUT-OF-CHARACTER, as knowledge your character has gained.  This is NEVER allowed, even if both parties agree to it, because you never know who else is tied to said knowledge.

    2. Powergamnig  = Giving your character so many powers that you gain an unfair advantage over someone else. Character sheets (when available) will resolve this issue, as well as the DICE system.

    3. Godmoding = Taking direct control of another person's character and allowing them no chance/opportunity to respond to your actions.  This violates a player's individual agency and will not be tolerated.

    4. In the cases of all three of these, Dice Rolls would resolve many of these issues, and its important that you all understand that.  When Dice do not resolve an issue, contact a Facilitator/Storyteller.

  7. Respect the privacy of players and factions.

    1. Sit-hacking into private homes or faction bases will not be tolerated.

    2. If you do not belong there, then do not enter it. it is locked and not accessible to you for a REASON.

    3. Failure to comply will result in a Ban.

  8. Respect your fellow players, and the staff.

    1. OOC disrespect is not only uncalled for, but not welcomed.

    2. We do not expect everyone to be friends IC or OOC, but you ARE expected to be cordial, respectful and civil to one another.

    3. You will be prompted once to cease, and after that you will be entering the territory of harassment.

    4. Harassment of any type will result in an Instant and Permanent ban as per violation of the Terms of Service.

  9. Griefing, Trolling, and Disturbing the Peace.

    1. This is not only a violation of the Second Life Community standards, but also a violation of Linden Labs Terms of Service, Section 6.2 which states, "6.2 You agree that you will not post or transmit Content or code that may be harmful, impede other users' functionality, invade other users' privacy, or surreptitiously or negatively impact any system or network."

    2. These violations will result in a permanent ban and a following abuse report being filed against the individual responsible.

THE GOLDEN RULE : Have fun making beautiful stories with one another.

  • This is very much self-explanatory.

  • Follow Rules 1-10 and everything will be fine. It shouldn't be too hard to do.

  • If you are unable to do this, then this is not the right game for you.
