Just as with every game, roleplay, or roleplaying game, there are rules that need to be followed.  This is especially important in the Second Life Platform.

 

+Requiem by Night+ is a game that mostly revolves around the adventures of Mundane and Supernatural trying to survive in a world where mosters are real and a part of Daily life. Due to the venue where we will be playing, we understand that while everyone may have the potential to perform as Mercenaries, not everyone will be Mercenaries exclusively.  As such, we have modified the game to fit our platform and intended audience.

You will notice that certain elements have been added and/or removed from our game that may or may not resemble your favorite genres.  This game is not the same.

This has been done on purpose.

There are elements of our game that just do not follow the established lore of certain versions of particular games, but their influences are there.  As such, we have only decided to include those elements which fit into the environment we have created, thus giving the game the feel of a table-top RPG, but making it simple for ease of access and understanding.

What does this mean for you?

It means that your favorite content may -not- be available and content that normally would be unplayable is included in our Chronicle.  While we will make efforts to make sure that characters are provided with ample character options and variety,  there is one thing you must remember when playing here...

This is a STORY-TELLING game, before anything else.

Any additions added to our game are done with this in mind.  Though we are aware of the popularity of mainstream genres (World of Darkness, Shadowrun, the Laura K. Hamilton Novels, Dungeons and Dragons, Candella Obscura etc), we are focusing on a very small part of this alternate Earth that we have created. This is to say that people who play in this Chronicle will have no impliccations to any setting of mainstream media or Real world politics. Individual stories that come from other settings will not be frowned upon, but they will in no way, shape or form affect OUR lore and overarching Chronicle.

Remember, we are a homebrew, just like any other game you may be used to playing, and we have our own rules for our game.
