All Mortals are just that. Mortal.

Regardless of what powers they have, Mortals still require food, drink, and medical attention. They still get sick, and will likely die if not treated properly. ​

Oh, and Mortal still age normally (in most cases).

The Veil is Broken.

Mortals are AWARE that supernatural creatures exist, but they have no way to tell who is what, until they reveal themselves.

The Island Resort of Purgatory is the only place in the city where supernaturals may legally reveal themselves without consequence. ​

Supernatural Mortals are More tolerated than Non-human Entities.

What the mortal races fear most is the fact that their dominance of the planet is under threat.

Mortals are no longer the pinnacle of Evolution as they thought.​

Mortals often hunt Supernaturals, both legally and illegally. Legal Hunters are known as Federal Marshals.

Independent Hunters exist, but are more likely to face legal ramifications for unsanctioned hunting.

There are three subtypes of Mortals: Mundanes, Psychics and Sorcerers.​

The Mundanes are the run-of-the-mill Human with no supernatural power.​

Psychics are humans with born supernatural abilities.

Sorcerers are magic practicioners. They are taught their powers.​

Mortals can be turned into Vampires or Shifters, but they lose their powers.

This is likely one of the most unique things about Mortals.

Mortals are capable of becoming other supernaturals, but when they do, they lose their previous powers to gain new ones.

This is not always by choice.
