Chronicles of the Dark Metropolis
The Order
: Friends of Equality :
(aka F.O.E.)

::: OVERVIEW :::
Faction Lead: [OPEN]
Co-Leads: Marie Pippins (zohnny.afterthought), [OPEN]

Why can’t we all be friends? That is the motto of the Friends of Equality. While they do align with the approach of the Municipalities that Laws need to be in place to regulate all the different types of being, those laws need to be equal for all as well. As it is, Therianthropes are second rate citizens, Primals and Tideborn are considered supernatural immigrants, and Vampires have no real due process for even the most mundane of offenses. The Friends of Equality push for equal rights of all in the form of peaceful protests, rallies, fundraisers and normalizing visibility.
To the FOE, while the Island of Purgatory will bring jobs and island acceptance to certain supernaturals, overall its presence is felt more like a means to other and separate Supernatural beings. It’s a zoo to them, and one they are not fully comfortable with being a part of. However, they are willing to go there and help from the bottom up, so long as everyone knows that this is for the BETTERMENT of everyone! Equal Rights for all!

::: Goals and Ideals :::
Because the Friends of Equality works within the law of the world, it follows all law abiding rules of the city. In addition, there are a few standards it asks of its members.
-
Equal Pay. No matter where a member works, they insist on a fair and equal pay for all people, regardless of who they are and where they come from. They publicly celebrate businesses that place the Pay and Benefits for all its employees, even the Supernatural on a public basis.
-
Equal Opportunity. F.O.E. feels that all its members deserve an equal chance at all opportunities as everyone else. This is especially the case in all Faction affairs, but it will extend beyond as well.
-
Innocent until Proven Guilty. Too many times supernaturals are blamed for crimes and other false negativity that spreads. It’s the way of F.O.E. to treat everyone that needs their help as Innocent until there is proof that they are in fact guilty.
-
Kill them with Kindness. The Dark is everywhere and is slowly contaminating the world over. What is needed isn’t hate. What is needed is love and acceptance. That is what F.O.E. brings. They will stand with all hand in hand to shine a light to push back the Dark.
-
Honor the laws in place. Yes, not all are in everyone’s best interest, but breaking one just because it is not liked will not get the law changed any faster. Always do right by the laws and follow them. Pushing is ok, so long as the push comes the right way. This will build respect and respect will change Laws.

::: Membership and Positions :::
Foe is very socio-political in its operations. This includes its membership as well.
-
President: The President runs all of the Faction and is the republic face for the Friends of Equality. They oversee everything and delegate jobs out down the ranks.
-
Vice Presidents: These spots are open to the assistants to the President of the Faction. They are to assist the President in all affairs the President cannot do as one.
-
Board Members: The Board Members are the voted in voices of the Constituents. Each is voted in for a set task, and does their best to adhere by it for the time they are elected. Constituents can also make a vote to remove a Board Member from the Board at any time.
-
Constituents: Full members are Constituents. They vote on both those they want to represent them, as well as the matters in which they want to focus on. This is a Faction of democracy, and while members are many and lower on the power pull, together, they are strong. This is the way of FOE.
-
Volunteers: A volunteer is the first line of defense in all the movement. You have to volunteer to petition, to march, to speak on behalf of others. This is the first step to make a difference in the world.
